WHAT IS A STEPPER MACHINE
The Stepper is a common exercise equipment that you can see in most of our gyms today, so I would like to let you know more about it.
The Stepper machine is a machine that mainly works on the legs and thighs. It has two platforms which you are supposed to keep your feet, as seen in the picture above. Both platforms are connected by springs so that when you move one, the other moves the opposite way. There are different types; some come with handles while the others just plainly compose of just the feet platforms. The electronic steppers have an ergo meter that counts the amount of steps, while the cheaper manual ones do not, and you would have to count the steps yourself.
WHAT CAN THE STEPPER MACHINE DO FOR WEIGHT LOSS?
The stepper machine reduces calories, i.e. you burn calories while on them. For beginners, they might be quite tedious, and most beginners are not able to use the stepper for more than thirty minutes, but practice makes perfect. With time you will adjust.
The stepper also helps you to work on your thighs and your calves and your hips, especially for we females, the stepper is very helpful. The stepper is very useful as home equipment, and can be kept in the home and used there.
Obesity is creeping into our country now as there is a nutrition transition from foods that were high in fibre, to foods that are high in saturated fats, sugars and junk food. This is why we need to combat obesity by eating right and working out.
The stepper machines are available in our stores around Lagos, Shoprite and Mega plaza have very lovely machines which you could check out and choose from.
