EATING ONCE DAY: DOES IT HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT?
I have come across a lot of dieters, who start the method of eating once a day, to lose weight. Some people, or rather most people, have stopped halfway when they could not continue. Some, however, have gone the full length, and end up losing 50 to 60 pounds over three months or more.
Now, while losing weight is good, it is important to consider the overall health of the individual before embarking on that method. Believe me, with one meal a day, YOU WOULD LOSE WEIGHT FAST!!!! But it does not end at that. Eating one meal a day puts you at risk of getting various illnesses, because you would be malnourished, and malnutrition predisposes you to a depressed immune system, and thus you can’t fight infections adequately. Is this worth that WEIGHT LOSS
HOW DOES EATING ONCE A DAY AFFECT YOU?
Also, with one meal a day for weight loss, you would be constantly tired, trust me. Your body needs energy to perform its daily activities, starving it would make it use your body fat for energy, but also make you weak when this is done excessively. You are also at risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), which can manifest in various ways including unconsciousness
During my excessively thin days, I was actually obsessed with my weight, despite the fact that I was bony. I was about 15 years back then. I decided to start the method of one meal a day. A month later, I fell ill, and had to take anti malarials. I took them ofcourse on my empty stomach. I ended up in The emergency hospital.
In conclusion, while eating once a day would make you lose weight fast, you need to consider the disadvantages. Your overall health is more important than that weight loss, your life is also more important than the WEIGHT LOSS. The best way to lose weight is to eat 6 small meals daily…..6 very small meals!
